Where Files Go

Find generated files and understand safe asset migration.

Generated images, videos, and audio are saved in your Obsidian vault. A file node on the canvas points to each result.

Default location

The default output folder is at the root of your vault:

_bragi/assets/

For example, results from Projects/episode-01.canvas still go to _bragi/assets/, not Projects/_bragi/assets/. The output location is fixed when you start the generation. Switching tabs does not change it.

Text results normally appear as text cards. If the source canvas closes before a text result arrives, Bragi saves the text as a Markdown file in the output folder.

Move assets into the shared folder

When Bragi offers to migrate a canvas's older assets, it copies them into the shared folder and updates that canvas. It keeps the original files so other notes and canvases can still use their existing paths.

A canvas backup is created first. Name collisions receive a separate filename. If only part of the work completes, the notice explains the partial result; inspect it before trying again.

Clean up with care

Clean up unused files lists indexed Bragi outputs that the active canvas does not reference. It does not search every other canvas or note in your vault.

Check whether a file is shared elsewhere before deleting it. Migration does not automatically delete originals across the vault.

A downloaded result is missing from the canvas

The file may be saved while the canvas still needs to finish writing. Reopen its source canvas and use Resume checking. See Task Recovery.
