Run Button Greyed Out

Fix a disabled Run button in the generate bar.

Symptom: The Run button is faded and cannot be clicked.

First step

Hover over the Run button. The tooltip explains why it is disabled.

Common causes

Text generation

  • The chosen text model does not support an upstream PDF, image, video, or audio reference.
  • Fix: remove the unsupported reference, change arrow direction, or pick a model that supports that input type.

Speech (TTS)

  • Reference voice mode is selected but no upstream audio node is connected.
  • Design voice mode is selected but no upstream text node is connected.
  • The model requires a voice reference or design prompt and does not offer built-in voices alone.

Music

  • MiniMax Music With Lyrics mode is selected but no upstream lyrics text node is connected.

Video

  • A video model that requires a reference image is selected, but no image arrow points into the prompt.
  • A first-frame model is selected but no image is connected.
  • Upstream video is connected but the model does not support Reference video, Extend Video, or Edit Video.

What to do

  1. Read the tooltip on Run.
  2. Adjust upstream references or arrow direction. See References.
  3. Pick a compatible model or mode in the generate bar.
